Are you dog friendly?

Yes! We love dogs, and welcome one well behaved dog to join you on your holiday - no extra charges. 
We do require them to be over the age of 12 months, and that you respectfully follow our 'house rules' - dogs must not be invited onto the beds, into the spa pool or left alone in the accommodation. If you have a dog who is very keen on water and may find the temptation of the spa pool too much, please bear in mind Picketts Barton Spa may not be suitable for them, as the pool is not fenced. 
 

Do you welcome children?

We are predominately an adults only retreat, but welcome infants under the age of 4 months, and children over the age of 12. There are a few potential hazards around the property that parents should be aware of, including an unfenced heated spa pool (1.2m deep), a sauna, and a natural open lake where water levels change with the seasons. Because of this, children need to be confident swimmers and should treat the house, furnishings, and grounds with care. They must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, indoors and outdoors, and parents or guardians are fully responsible for them during the stay.
 

Are you disability friendly / accessible?

Yes! We have designed Picketts Barton Spa to be as accessible as possible so it can be enjoyed by everyone. There are no steps to the accommodation, we provide an access ramp and the interiors have been designed with a wheelchair in mind. We also have a wheelchair on site you are welcome to use during your stay. Our master bedroom has a larger walk-in shower too.

Is there private parking?

Yes - we have a large parking area approximately 10 meters from the accommodation with plenty of space.

Where is the nearest shop?

Picketts Barton Spa is located 3 minutes by car from Fremington village (or a 10-15 minute walk). In the village we have a Premier convenience store, a Co-op, and a Boots pharmacy. The nearest large superstores are Sainsbury's in Roundswell Business Park (10 minutes drive) and Tesco in Barnstaple (12 minutes drive). You're also welcome to arrange a food delivery but please ensure it's scheduled to arrive after you have checked in.
